A Vampire a Day... Transylvania

"Where is Transylvania?" This is a question I've been asked often. The answer is: Transylvania (or Transilvania) is in Romania, a relatively small country in Eastern Europe.

Count Dracula, of Transylvania... hhhmmmm... the reason behind this particular piece of information, which has been common knowledge in many Western countries, America included, may come from the location of the now famous Dacula's Castle--Bran Castle--which is, indeed, in Transilvania (to use the original, Romanian spelling), at the tip of the angle formed by the Carpathian Mountains as they traverse Romania.
