Links2Social

Hello Everybody,

Hope you all have a wonderful summer. While I seldom update this blog (yeah, I know), for those of you who want to get in touch with me or see samples of my work, I thought it would be a good idea to post a list of links.

Best way to contact me is through my website (and, yes, blog): www.alinaoswald.com

Here are other places where you can also find my work:

Fine Art America

Instagram

CNN iReport

You can also reach me on my Facebook Page or follow me on Twitter @ANO07. I'm also on Pinterest and Google+ among others.

So, I'll call this post my "About Me" page that I'll update as needed.

Enjoy your summer!

Art, Understanding, and America's AIDS Magazine

Hello everybody!

It's Friday! TGIF! Right? Thank God is Friday this Friday in particular, I should say. That's because this weekend, June 5, the AIDS pandemic turns 35. Yes, that's right. Thirty-five, three decades and a half, that is, since the beginning of the AIDS pandemic. And, for myself personally, this Friday made my entire weekend, because my fantastic Managing Editor, Chael Needle, mentioned me in a feature article. Check it out on A&U Magazine--America's AIDS Magazine website: http://www.aumag.org/2016/06/03/alina-oswald-on-ron-b-s-no-boundaries/

If you want to learn more about what we do at A&U Magazine (former Art & Understanding Magazine), read some exquisite pieces of writing, and use culture and the arts to get more understanding of HIV and AIDS, I urge you to check it out this publication.

Many thanks! Also, kudos to Ron B, Gloria Messer, the entire No Boundaries team at the Manhattan Neighborhood Network that make this fantastic show happen.

Have a fantastic weekend!
As always, thanks for stopping by.

Being a Guest on Ron B's No Boundaries Show

There's a First for Everything: A few thoughts on my being on the panel of Ron B's show, No Boundaries

It turns out that there is, indeed, a first for everything! Who knew? As terrified as I am of being on camera (still but mostly video), here I was, invited by the fantastic actor and activist, Ron B, on her show, No Boundaries: Up Close and Personal, taped at the Manhattan Neighborhood Network, in Manhattan. And I got to chat about a few subjects very dear to my heart:

- A&U Magazine--America's AIDS Magazine
- Kurt Weston, an award-winning artist, and also an activist and dear friend, and the book I wrote about him, Journeys Through Darkness: A Biography of AIDS
- and my own journey through covering HIV, AIDS, LGBT and related topics

Check it out! https://vimeo.com/165531982

Also, here are a few pictures I shot while at Ron B's show.

New Website, Blog & Links

News, Updates, New Website, Blog and Links

So, it seems that I don't really get to blog that much or at least to update this particular blog. That's why I'd like to remind you of a few new websites and updates.

Not that recently I started a new blog/website on WordPress. Feel free to check it out and visit me at www.alinaoswald.com.

You can also follow me on Instagram. Yes, I gave in and got an account. Check it out here.

If you want to check out an awesome online photography publication, I'd encourage you to visit Precise Moment.

I was on Ron B's show, No Boundaries: Up Close and Personal, which is an honor, and I'm forever grateful and humbled. Stay tuned for updates. Until then, you can check out another No Boundaries show I was part of, on both sides of the lens. Check it out on vimeo.
